Morrocco Media is an award-winning adventure film-making, television and documentary  studio and video-production agency, based in rural Perthshire, Scotland.   We are developers and producers, but welcome the opportunity to produce your ideas.

Morrocco Media come from a background in developing scientifically-researched, emotionally-led video campaigns that target clients audience's intuition and instinct.  We do fun and unorthodox campaigns that are difficult and challenging, campaigns led by our deep curiosity, and ultimately produced with huge pride.  These have been and continue to be our values.

Our mission is to produce creative, inspiring, unique and emotional films that showcase adventure and Scotland, and, ideally, the two combined.

Our vision is to become a leading developer and producer of television, documentaries and adventure films with a particular focus on Scotland, sport and adventure.

Morrocco Media is owned by Stefan Morrocco and has the support of adventurer, Mark Beaumont.  Stefan specialises in cinematography in remote and challenging environments, with a particular interest in mountain and adventure sports.  As well as being an accomplished cinematographer and editor, Stefan has a real passion for direction and development of stories and concepts.  Mark Beaumont has a history of producing documentaries about his adventures and working as a presenter in many terrestrial television programmes.  With support from talented freelancers, we have a strong and capable team able to deliver television programmes, documentaries and adventure films.

Stefan discovered his passion for filming when he was doing an upland geomorphology Ph.D. at St Andrew's University.  As Captain of the University Cycling Club, he found himself leading their entry for a University-wide filming competition.  Anyone who finds themselves still glued to their computer screen editing at 4 AM is definitely passionate about what they are doing.  The interest in filming has blossomed from that first film competition, and Stefan owes a massive thanks to Wild Fox Events who gave him his first paid job and the confidence to pursue viodeography as a career.   Stefan maintains a good level of fitness; a remarkable feat as he is a husband and father to two young boys.  A former junior triathlon champion, a respectable mountainbike racer, a talented horse rider, confident skier and general sports nut ensure Stefan 'Gets' it when producing adventure and sports content.

Morrocco Media work closely with Oscar McBurney.  Oscar has been inspired by the outdoors from a young age. His interest in extreme sports and adventure led him on whitewater kayaking expeditions to South America, Norway, New Zealand, and across Europe, on some of the world’s most impressive rivers. Oscar spent his early kayaking career working at one of Switzerland’s most prestigious river schools, where he first began working with a camera for rafting trips.

Oscar’s love of photography developed alongside his sports career, taking him to some of the world’s greatest sporting events as a photographer and athlete. In the lead up to Rio 2016 he filmed the Olympic test event and an athlete not-for-profit project called Share The Stoke.

To reach the leading edge of adventure filming, it’s important to understand what it feels like to be at the sharp end of performance and preparation. Having raced at world championship level for New Zealand in slalom, and more importantly spending months away  filming in high pressure, geographically isolated environments, Oscar loves to showcase the creativity and sharp clarity of his work. Combining a competitive mindset with filming allows him to create work that reflects his love of the outdoors, adventure and working with like-minded photographers.
